Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using MacroM8 ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

MacroM8 is operated by MacroM8 ("we", "us", or "our"). These Terms govern your use of our web application and any related services.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use MacroM8. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

3. Account Registration

To use MacroM8, you must create an account using an email address and password, or through Google OAuth. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised access

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are used for fraudulent purposes.

4. The Service

MacroM8 provides a nutrition macro tracking platform that allows you to:

• Set nutrition goals with defined macro targets and date ranges
• Log daily meals with food items and quantities
• Create custom food entries with nutritional data
• View daily progress summaries and weekly insights

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

5. Plans and Pricing

5.1 Free Plan

The Free plan provides access to core features with usage limits, including up to 3 meals per day, 10 custom foods, and 7 days of meal history.

5.2 Pro Plan

The Pro plan (A$8.97/week) removes all usage limits and provides access to additional features including unlimited meals, unlimited custom foods, full history access, weekly reports, and smart insights.

5.3 Billing

Pro subscriptions are billed weekly through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. Prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and may be subject to change with prior notice.

6. Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time through the Billing & Plan section in your account settings. Upon cancellation:

• You retain Pro access until the end of the current billing period
• Your account will revert to the Free plan after the period ends
• Your data (meals, goals, custom foods) is preserved

We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at support@macrom8.com.au and we will review your case.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to access the Service without permission
• Upload malicious content or attempt to exploit vulnerabilities
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Use the Service to provide medical or dietary advice to others without appropriate qualifications

8. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and branding of MacroM8 are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our Service without written permission.

You retain ownership of the data you enter into MacroM8 (meals, goals, custom foods). By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store and process this data solely to provide the Service to you.

9. Health Disclaimer

MacroM8 is a nutrition tracking tool, not a medical service. The Service does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Macro targets and insights are informational and should not replace professional nutritional or medical guidance.

Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making significant changes to your diet, especially if you have medical conditions or dietary restrictions.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MacroM8 and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to:

• Loss of data or inaccurate macro calculations
• Health outcomes resulting from following macro targets
• Service downtime or interruptions
• Unauthorised access to your account

Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

11. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a manner that could harm other users or our infrastructure. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before termination, except in cases of severe violation.

You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@macrom8.com.au. Account deletion is subject to the data retention terms described in our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
